KLIM Badlands Pro A3…setting new standards for adventure motorcycle clothing

Sprache wechseln German

I started wearing my Badlands Pro A3 jacket and trousers in 2022 right after they were introduced and put them through everything nature could throw at me throughout 2023. Scorching heat in Tunisia and the Gobi desert; cold, rain and sleet in other parts of Mongolia and central Europe.

As a twelve-months-of-the-year rider, one of the characteristics I have really grown to appreciate is the suit’s breathability and moisture wicking—and that is just as important in summer, when I’m wearing t-shirt and shorts underneath, as it is in winter when my layers keep me toasty.

Another characteristic is the suit’s ability to adapt to my riding style. Adventure touring or dirt-biking across Mongolia, the Badlands Pro jacket and pants are just right for both jobs.

At the end of the day though, all riders are looking for the best possible protection for those shit-happens moments and KLIM exceeds in every discipline.

FEATURES AND FACTS

Fit
Compared to everything I have had before, the Badlands Pro jacket and trousers are the most comfortable I have worn on and off the bike. Even when I stop for a break or sightseeing, they are comfortable enough to keep on when I’m walking around.

Hydration
Built-in pouch for a water bladder (not included) and routing for the hose.

Pockets
Seven in the jacket and two in the pants: plenty of places to keep and hide valuables, documents, keys, phone, and anything else I carry around.

Protection
CE AAA certified to EN1709-2, this is the first GORE-TEX lined suit to have achieved this level of protection. Limb and side-specific pads offer optimised coverage and stability in the event of a crash. The high-impact areas (shoulders, elbows, forearms and knees) have Superfabric panels which are extremely abrasion resistent.

Ventilation
The jacket has 2 large adjustable wrist vents, 4 core vents, 2 bicep intake vents, 2 tricep exhaust vents, 2 back exhaust vents, and a collar tab to increase airflow to upper chest. The pants have 2 thigh intake vents, 2 thigh exhaust vents, and 2 lower leg side vents.

Weatherproofing
The GORE-TEX 3 layer shell and YKK waterproof zips are a certain recipe to fulfil the Guaranteed to keep you dry promise.

CONCLUSION

KLIM manufactures the adventure riding gear that all other brands have to compare themselves against. If it’s safety, comfort and weatherproofing that you’re looking, then look no further. The KLIM Badlands Pro A3 is the premium solution.

As far as the price is concerned, you get exactly what you pay for: the best in every detail and, when it comes to safety, who wants to skimp?
