Special event in Bad Kissingen: Joey Kelly invites you to discuss adventure, music and extreme sports

As a child, Joey Kelly busked with his parents in the streets across Europe and the US. In the 90s, The Kelly Family became a world player in the folk and pop industry. Today, the adventurer, musician and extreme sportsman is a tv personality with appearances on the German programmes WOK-WM and TV Total’s Turmspringen (high-diving).

Joey is passionate about extreme sports, a pastime he initially used to balance his stressful career in the public domain. In pursuit of the ultimate challenge, he travels to the remotest regions on the planet and participates in the toughest ultra-disciplines. He has already completed 50 marathons, more than 30 ultra-marthons and nine desert runs.

During the Race Across America, he cycled four times from the West to East coast. In a single year, he completed eight Ironman Triathlons – a record still unbroken to this day.

Host, Markus Lanz, and Joey joined forces in the Race to the Southpole where they endured temperatures down to -40°C. WIth the Rammstein vocalist, Till Lindemann, he has explored the wilderness in a canoe – first the Yukon, then the Amazon.
