FAS Expedition – luxury overlanding vehicles and components for self-builders

Sprache wechseln German

FAS Expedition is exhibiting at Abenteuer & Allrad 2023. Booth T02.

FAS Expedition combines competences from body and commercial vehicle construction, engineering, technical drawing, electrical engineering and interior design with a large portion of innovation. Not only does the company produce tailor made expedition vehicles, they also supply components for self-builders.

This year, FAS Expedition is sharing a booth with the Unimog specialists RKF-Bleses where they will be presenting two fully fitted trucks: a Mercedes Actros with a 6m cabin and, for the very first time, a brand new MAN TGM with a 5,9m cabin and an extendable platorm. There will also be two Unimog U4023 chassis on display, one with an empty 4m cabin.

REAR CARRIERS: BASE & XL

BASE

The smaller of the two models can carry up to 450kg and is mounted to the chassis of the vehicle. This construction method ensures the cabin and intermediate frame are not subjected to any unnecessary stress. At the same time driving comfort is improved due to the lower center of gravity.

This carrier is designed to transport spare wheels with fitted tyres. As an option, there is an extension for motorcycles, bicycles or e-bikes.

XL

The XL rear carrier also mounts directly to the vehicle chassis and is designed for heavy loads or vehicles with a rear slope and can comfortably carry an ATV and two complete spare wheels. The special feature is its optionally available foldable platform, which allows flexible use.

The XL can transport up to 700kg. If you choose the folding platform or have a sloping rear cabin, the maximum payload is reduced to 500 kg.

STAIRS

STORAGE BOX STAIRS

The cleverly designed construction is extremely robust, suitable for your four-legged friend and, thanks to its high-quality heavy-duty sliders, very smooth to operate. The storage box and the base frame can be powder coated in your choice of colour at no extra cost.

SLIDEOUT-STAIRS

The space-saving slideout stairs are mounted inside the cabin frame. When required, the stairs are pulled out with the base set firmly on the ground. The stairs have a shallow angle and are very stable making them ideal for children and pets.
